Action > ResChkLc

Performs the verification of the strength limit state for steel sections by comparing the calculated resistance values with the actual ULS design forces, respectively applying appropriate interaction formulas in accordance with the chosen design code for arbitrary internal force vectors (bending and normal force, shear and torsion etc.)

Note: The program calculates capacity factors which define the utilization level of the section when the ULS force state is applied. Values below 1.0 indicate that the section passed the verification, values above 1.0 that the verification failed.

Action Code of the selected Action. It is possible to switch to another action without leaving and re-entering the input function.
Action will be skipped (Option) The action will be skipped in the calculation process if the option is selected.
Input-1 > Superposition file name Name of the load case containing the ULS design forces being compared with the design resistance values calculated with the action UltRes and stored in the superposition file specified in Input-2.
Input-2 > Superposition resistance Name of the superposition file containing the relevant design resistances calculated with the action UltRes.
Input-3 > Excel file Name of an Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet file where the cross-section and element resistances are written in the action UltRes. The element resistances in this spreadsheet are used if the superposition file containing design resistances is not specified in Input-2 or if the specified file does not exist.
Output-1: not used
Output-2 > List File Name of list file whereto results of the calculation are written.

Default (*): rchkxx.lst with xx being the name of the envelope containing the design forces. No list file is written if the input field is empty.
